Obituary for Albert "Butch" Middlecamp Jr.

Albert Lee “Butch” Middlecamp, Jr., age 64, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.

He was born on May 17, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Albert Lee Middlecamp, Sr., and Lois Lavon (Clark) Middlecamp.

After graduating from Hazelwood High School, Butch attended a tech school and learned trade skills.

Butch stayed busy and held many types of employment through the years. His love for rebuilding electronics led Butch to work with numerous businesses including DEK Photo Systems. He managed restaurants, drove for Amtrack Transporting, Railway Transporting, worked as a cook at Subshop and even worked on the barges on the Missouri River.

Butch enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to the Eagles, Steve Miller Band, and many other classic rock musicians. Whenever a broken electronic was brought to him, he would have the knowledge to fix it and bring it back to life. He enjoyed skiing as a child, fishing at his sister’s house, playing baseball, and doing martial arts. He had a love for dogs and was talented in training many dogs over the years. He especially loved his own dogs, Sissy and Buster. Butch had a kind heart and will be missed by all who knew him.

Butch is survived by: siblings, Sandra (Harold) Tennyson of Aldrich, Mo., Brian (Cynthia) Middlecamp of Jefferson City, Mo. and Angela (Henry) Cheong, of Jefferson City, Mo.; and many other family members and friends.

Butch is preceded in death by: his parents, Albert and Lavon; and grandparents, Harmon and Agnes Middlecamp and Albert and Cora Clark.

Memorial Services for Butch will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Eugene, Mo. with time for fellowship immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Albert Middlecamp memorial fund c/o Freeman Mortuary to assist with funeral expenses.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary.
