Obituary for Alexander John Krueger
Alexander John (A. J.) Krueger passed away July 22, 2022 at Tidewell Hospice House, 5957 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL.
A.J. was born January 11, 1930 in Jefferson City, Missouri.
An only child of Julius and Katherine Krueger. A.J. is survived by: his loving wife of 71 years, Helen Carol Baker Krueger; and a beloved step sister, Jerene Hackney, Kansas City, Mo.
A.J. was educated in the Jefferson City Public Schools and graduated from the School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He worked for Hawthorn Back (formally The Exchange National Bank) in Jefferson City for 35 years, retiring as a Vice President.
A.J. was a Korean War veteran and a 65 year Roscoe Enlow Post No. 5, Jefferson City American Legion member.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 7950 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, 34231.
Interment will be at 11:30 am at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd. 72, Sarasota, 34241.
