Anna Lue Shipman, age 88, of Jensen Beach, Florida, a former resident of Marys Home, Mo. passed away peacefully Friday, March 4, 2022 at Brooksdale Assisted Living.
Anna was born April 4, 1933 in Marys Home, Mo., the daughter of Hiram Idalphida and Frieda Gertrude (Schulte) Hart. She was married on June 21, 1952 in Marys Home, Mo. to Rondal James Shipman who preceded her in death on August 23, 2013.
Anna was a 1951 graduate of Cole R-5 High School in Eugene, Mo. After high school, Anna worked for over 10 years at Tweedie’s International Shoe Company in Jefferson City, Mo. and was a member of their Interco Union.
For over 20 years, Anna and her husband Ron, owned and operated Ron’s T.V. and Sound on High Street in Jefferson City until selling the business in 1999. During their retirement, she had wonderful memories of traveling with Ron, which usually included a trip to the casino in that area. She enjoying putting small amounts in the slot machines and ribbing family members if she ever won.
Anna was devoted to her faith and a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Marys Home, Mo.
Anna was a social person, known affectionately to many as “Great”, and always greeted anyone with a smile. She cherished time with her family and was always excited about nights out for a good dinner with them.
She will be remembered for her independent personality, her smile and the love she shared with family.
Survivors include: her daughter, Cynthia Tichelkamp (Neal) of Jensen Beach, Fl.; five grandchildren, Shannon Kempker (Tina) of Jefferson City, Mo., Ericia Leeper (Jed) of Salem, Oregon, Craig Tichelkamp (David Lankford) of Cambridge, Mass., Kate Tichelkamp of St. Louis, Mo. and Tara Kempker (Tim) of Jefferson City, Mo.; and seven great-grandchildren, Quin Kempker, Eilee Kempker, Laney McCulloch, Race McCulloch, Nora Leeper, Max Leeper and Olivia Leeper.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 61 years, Ron; and three brothers, Wilburn Hart, Norman Hart, and H.I. Hart.
Visitation will be held Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 with a Prayer Service following her visitation at 6:00 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel with Monsignor Robert Kurwicki officiating.

Private graveside services and entombment will be held at the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery.
