Obituary for Beatrice Fern Bernskoetter

Ms. Beatrice Fern “Betty” Bernskoetter, 76, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at her sister’s home in Wheat Ridge, Co.

Beatrice was born on June 30, 1944 in Jefferson City, Mo., a daughter of Andrew Herman and Bernadine Mary (Wolken) Bernskoetter.

Beatrice worked for Capitol Projects for 50 years. A woman of strong faith, Beatrice was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Beatrice enjoyed house painting and she was a very talented cook. She liked to travel and could often be found at the Lake of the Ozarks and at various church picnics around Missouri. She was also a huge Elvis fan and had all of his albums. Nothing gave her more joy than playing and singing along with them. Her one wish was to go to Graceland, and now she has the best view.

Survivors include: four sisters, Arlene Tatum (Robert) of Wheat Ridge, Co., Juanita Constant of Babbitt, Mn., Gladys Looten of Jefferson City, Mo., and Grace Lund of Walla Walla, Wa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; her best friend and the love of her life, Pat Voss; siblings, Robert Bernskoetter, Andrew Ralph Bernskoetter, Shirley Gilpin, Angeline Martino, James Bernskoetter, and Sandra Bernskoetter; and three brothers-in-law, Willard Constant, Elroy Looten, and Steve Lund.

Visitation will be held Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend I.C. Medina officiating. Graveside services will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.

The general public is welcome to attend her services while following social distancing guidelines. Everyone is welcome but please wear a personal mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Capitol Projects or Immaculate Conception Church.
