Obituary for Bobbie Ann Corser

Bobbie Ann Corser, age 76, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Bobbie was born on August 14, 1945 in Pike County, Al., the daughter of Charles Marvin and Buna Mae (Linton) Mote.

As a military wife for many years, Bobbie was employed with the Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES), where she worked in accounting.

Bobbie was truly a one-of-a-kind person and she left a lasting imprint on everyone she met. She was ornery and headstrong, but she loved hard and especially in her later years, made it a point to bring her family closer together. Bobbie was crafty and artistic and could often be found coloring, painting, and building birdhouses. She kept herself busy playing bingo, writing poems, and playing spades and other computer games. Bobbie was sure to provide entertainment and loved line-dancing, two-stepping and any other country dancing. She was a collector of all sorts, especially her beautiful porcelain dolls.

While married to her children’s father, Richard Harvey Corser, they were stationed in Germany. Education was important to she and Richard and they spent a lot of time traveling to many European countries learning the history and culture. She made sure that her children had the best vacations and planned them down to the last detail. Bobbie cherished the time that she spent with her family, and she will never be forgotten.

Survivors include: four children, Deby Price (husband, Aaron) of Bogalusa, La., Glenn Corser (wife, Paula) of Jefferson City, Mo., Robin Barker (husband, Dan) of Mexico, Mo., and Tonia Platt (husband, Robert) of Clinton, Mo.; two sisters, Alice Milner and Delores Rollins both of Leesburg, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Mia, Scott, Jonathan, Chris, Rachel, Daniel, and Joshua; and seven great-grandchildren.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Curley; grandsons, Corey and Casey Bateman; and one great-grandson, Jesse Barker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
