Obituary for Bonnie Burnett
Bonnie Lou Burnett (Dalley), age 92 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., Passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at SSM Health St. Mary’s hospital.
She was born on June 21, 1926 in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Dewey S. and Beulah (Bradshaw) Dalley. She was married on December 31, 1947 in Cedar City, Mo. to Harold L. Burnett who preceded her in death on October 29, 2008.
She was a 1944 graduate of Jefferson City High School. After graduation she worked for Wendleton Insurance Agency, Stockard and Stockard Law Firm and State Farm Insurance Company. Since that time she was a homemaker and dedicated mother.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, served as financial secretary and held other positions over the years.
Survivors include: one son, Randall M. Burnett and his wife Janice of Houston, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Sherrie Burnett of Jefferson City, Mo.; six grandchildren, Matthew Burnett, Joshua Burnett (wife Emma), Emily Burnett, Randall M. Burnett II (wife Maureen), Christopher Burnett (husband Greg Utterback) and Kristopher Andrae; two great grandchildren, Mattilyn Burnett and Declan Burnett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold L. Burnett; son, Darryl R. Burnett; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Clifford Mantle; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Virginia Burnett; and grandson, Kevin Andrae.
Visitation will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Crum officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Immanuel Baptist Church, 706 Ohio Street, Jefferson City, Mo. 65109.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
