Obituary for Charlotte Baclesse

Charlotte Anne Thompson Baclesse, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, with family by her side.

Charlotte was born in Jefferson City, the daughter of Lester and Marie (Knoerr) Thompson.

A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, Charlotte attended school in Osage County and graduated from Linn High School. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and Lincoln University. Charlotte also completed Real Estate School obtaining her sales license in 1992.

Charlotte was employed in many State offices throughout her career including the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Secretary of State, Missouri Senate, and Missouri Governor’s Office. She retired from Missouri One Call System in January of 2015.

Charlotte was a member of the Elks Lodge #513 in Jefferson City. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Mizzou football fan. Charlotte was known for her cooking and entertaining skills by those close to her. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals and provided a loving home for many pets over the years.

Survivors include: son, Samuel Baclesse of Jefferson City, Mo; daughter, Sara Trumbull (Rick) of Overland Park, Ks; brothers, William Thompson (Betty) of Jefferson City, Mo., and Eric Thompson (Sandi) of Linn, Mo; sisters, Jeanine Dulle (Dave) of Jefferson City, Mo., Cynthia Thompson of Aurora, Mo., and Stephanie Lehmen (Bruce) of Jefferson City, Mo; and two grandchildren, Rigs and Reid Trumbull of Overland Park, Ks.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
