Cleo Wilson Clemons, Jr., 75, of Jefferson City, Mo. passed away peacefully on Saturday May 7, 2022 at Villa Marie.
He was born on February 21, 1947 in Malden, Mo. to Rev. Cleo Clemons, Sr. and Allie Mae (Martin) Clemons. He graduated from Malden High School, where he excelled in sports. He went on to further his education at Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
He was employed as a paralegal with local law offices and also worked part time as a security guard until his retirement.
A past member of the Malden Masonic Lodge, Cleo had a friendly smile and an outgoing personality. He was knowledgeable and accomplished in martial arts receiving his 3rd degree black belt. He was also an avid sports and horseracing fan.
With his law background, he was always confident he was right, and stood by all his decisions. He was always gracious, polite and caring and we are blessed that he was a part of our lives.
Survivors include: his son, Cleo Wilson Clemons, III; siblings, Mildred Davis, Odis Clemons, Sandy Clemons, Cynthia Davis, Karen Porter, Lisa Clemons and Lue Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Ellen Clemons, Alberta Theresa Williams, Shirley Mae Barber, Ollie Patsy Ann Barber and Mary Louise Clemons.
Private graveside services will be held at Longview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice Compassus.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
