Obituary for Eileen Anna Cremer

Eileen Anna Cremer, age 78, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at her home.

Eileen was born September 19, 1944 in Linn, Mo. the daughter of Fred and Estella (Lepper) Brandt. She was married on January 30, 1965 in Rich Fountain, Mo. to Gerald Lee “Jerry” Cremer, who survives.

A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Eileen was a 1962 graduate of Osage County R-II High School in Linn, Mo.

She began her professional career at the Jefferson City News Tribune where she met the love of her life, Jerry. Eileen was employed with Jefferson City High School for 21 years in their food service department. She was later employed as an administrative assistant with Missouri Lawyers Weekly and Hawthorn Bank. Eileen had a strong work ethic and worked part-time during her retirement for the law firm, CVDL.

She possessed a strong Catholic faith and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City. Eileen was devoted to serving and was very active with St. Ann’s Sodality and the Morning Star Chapter of the Immaculata Club. Eileen loved to keep busy by getting lost in a good book, putting together puzzles or playing computer games. Always enjoying a nice game of Bingo, Eileen sometimes tried her hand playing a little Black Jack or playing in a bingo tournament in Las Vegas. She had a green thumb and spent many days outside gardening or landscaping her yard.

Family was always the center of Eileen’s life. She cherished the times she spent playing board and dice games with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. At Christmas and Easter, she always had some kind of activities for the family. She had an adventurous and fun-loving spirit which led her to travel all over the world with Jerry, including on many cruises.
