Obituary for Faye Todd
Mrs. Frances Faye Todd, age 84 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at S.S.M. St. Mary’s Health Center surrounded by her family.
Faye was born September 21, 1934 in Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of Orville and Alta Robinett Atteberry. She was married on May 26, 1951 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Charles E. Todd who preceded her in death on September 15, 1995.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Faye attended Jefferson City Public Schools.
A homemaker, Faye had been employed as a cook with the Jefferson City Public Schools at Southwest Elementary School until her retirement on September 1, 1997.
Faye devoted her life to her grandchildren and enjoyed going out to eat with them every weekend. Spending time with her brother, sisters and extended family were also times she treasured. She especially looked forward to her sisters’ visits from California and attending her family’s annual 4th of July barbeques.
Faye loved to sew, listen to country music, and shop. Her shopping trips along with her trips to Branson and the casinos always ended with some great memories.
Survivors include: one grandson, Brad E. Gilpin and his wife Kim of Jefferson City, Mo.; two great-granddaughters, Lindsey Gilpin and Haley Gilpin, both of Jefferson City, Mo; one great-great-granddaughter, Peyton Barnett; three sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Fulton, Mo., Glenda Gilpin and her husband Larry of Hayward, California, and Linda Todd and her husband Jim of New Bloomfield, Mo.; and one brother, Larry Kinter and his wife Dana of New Bloomfield, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of forty-four years, Charles, one daughter, Rhonda Gilpin, one sister, Patty Wheat, and one brother, Billy Robinett.
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Lowell Perkins officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
