Obituary for Frank Dellino
Frank Anthony Dellino, age 68, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at his home.
Frank was born on August 1, 1954, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Michael and Carmen (Kaulentis) Dellino. He was married on September 28, 1980, in Chicago, Ill. to Deanna Erhardt, who survives in the home.
Frank grew up in Chicago and graduated from Gordon Technical High School. He attended classes at Triton Community College in River Grove, Ill.
Frank was employed in law enforcement for over 30 years before ill health forced his retirement in 2006. He began his professional career as a security officer at a bank in Chicago and later served as a Cook County Sheriff Deputy. When Deanna and him moved to central Missouri in 1999, he continued working in law enforcement with several agencies throughout the area. Frank was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
He was a dedicated family man and very protective of his family. He loved supporting his son and spending time with him and Deanna was his greatest joy. Frank was so proud of David’s accomplishments and the man he has become.
If you knew Frank, he had a larger-than-life sense of humor that could lighten any room with laughs, especially with the nicknames he made for anyone in his close circle. He was known for his funny texts that he would send family and friends most days. They will forever miss his shenanigans and practical jokes that would make everyone laugh or maybe even cringe a little. He wanted to make sure everyone knew he was a proud member of Sam’s Club and Amazon Prime.
Frank enjoyed reading, exercising and watching unlimited YouTube videos. He loved going to Hy-Vee to visit with friends and keep them laughing for most mornings. Frank will be remembered for his integrity, giving heart and being extremely loyal. He was always there to lend a smile, his time, a friendly conversation, or just make family and friends feel special.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 42 years, Deanna Dellino; his son, David Dellino (McKenna) of Jefferson City, Mo.; and his great friend that he thought of as an adopted sister, Gabrielle Upton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private celebration of Frank’s life was held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in the Freeman Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Samaritan Center, 1310 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Mo. 65101.
