Obituary for Gerald Walker
Gerald Marvin Walker, age 73 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehab.
He was born on April 4, 1949 in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Paul Marvin and Mary Frances (Hayes) Walker.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Gerald was a respected hard worker and was employed with McCoy’s Moving and Storage most of his life.
Gerald was one of a kind. He could easily be described as the “life of the party” and loved to have a good time. Most of all, He cherished the time he spent with his mom in her final 6 months caring for her every day. He had a passion for life and always enjoyed every moment.
Survivors include: one sister, Sharon Havens (Tom) of Florissant, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Robert Walker.
Private graveside services and interment will be held at Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2409 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, Mo., 65109.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
