He was born on May 16, 1932 in Jefferson City, the son of Henry and Vivian (Vehlewald) Morris. He was married on May 28, 1983 in Jefferson City, to Janice “Jan” Conley-Harms.

A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Sonny graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1950.

He began his career at First Gold Cup Bakery which he worked for 21 years. Sonny then went on to work 29 years for State Printing with the Office of Administration as a printing service representative retiring in 1997. Some of Sonny’s favorite memories include playing horseshoes, bowling and playing cards with his family. When Sonny wasn’t working, you could find him traveling the world with his wife, Jan.
