Obituary for Jackie Thompson

Mrs. Jacklan Sue Thompson, 76, of Centertown, Mo., passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at her home.

She was born September 29, 1944 in Meta, Mo., a daughter of Beryle and Pauline Ann (Libbert) Imsland.

Jackie graduated from Jefferson City High School and was employed for over 29 years at Chesebrough Ponds where she worked as a Line tender in the Q-Tip department.

From a young age, Jackie loved bowling and was on many different bowling leagues throughout Jefferson City. She carried this love on to her children, and they went bowling together twice a week. Jackie found beauty in nature. She especially liked bird watching and her water garden ponds. She was the “Queen of Negotiation” at rummage sales, where she and her daughters went every Saturday, followed by a visit to Taco Bell. Jackie liked watching movies and going out to eat with her family. Jackie loved traveling and went on many vacations with her family and short trips with her son, Roger. One of her favorite places to visit was Las Vegas, where she could always be found at the casinos. Most of all, Jackie cherished her large family and she will be greatly missed by all.
