Obituary for Jeannette Seaman

Mrs. Hazel Jeannette Seaman, 82, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, March 12, 2021.

She was born on February 28, 1939 in Jefferson City a daughter of the late Raymond Cecil and Hazel Victoria (Robertson) Connell. In 1967, she married Frederick Herbert Seaman III.

A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, Jeannette was a 1957 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She also attended the University of Missouri and Lincoln University.

She was employed at Missouri Power and Light Company, and was an executive secretary with Missouri Bar Association, Missouri State Legislature, and Lincoln University.

Jeannette enjoyed politics, telling stories, gardening, playing the piano, and all types of music. She loved watching a good mystery and going on road trips. She especially enjoyed travelling to Italy to visit her sister. Jeannette loved her family and looked forward to dance recitals, youth sports and gatherings especially around the holidays

Her family would like to thank the many healthcare workers who cared for her over the past few years. She loved you all very much.

Survivors include: her children, Eric Seaman (Denice Adkins) of Columbia, Mo., and Gail Seaman of New Orleans, La.; sisters, Janice McDaniel (Ronnie) of Fulton, Mo., and Colleen Pisaneschi of Petaluma, Ca.; nephews, Mike McDaniel (Vicki), David McDaniel (Beth) and Joe McDaniel (Lisa) all of Fulton, Mo.; and several great nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Marion, Mo. A celebration of Life will be held when it is safe for us all to be together again.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the New Hope Cemetery Association.
