Jessica E. Steinmetz, age 33 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Saturday, November 17, 2018.
Jessica was born May 16, 1985 in Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of Larry A. and Donna G. Cox Steinmetz.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Jessica was a 2003 graduate of Jefferson City High School where she ran on the Jay Cross Country and Jay Track Teams. She attended the Missouri University of Science and Technology at Rolla, Mo.
Jessica enjoyed playing the piano but, most importantly, she cherished her time with her family and her dog, Duke.
Survivors include: her parents, Larry and Donna Steinmetz of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother, Scott A. Steinmetz of Jefferson City, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bob L. and Betty L. Steinmetz and her maternal grandparents, Thomas J. and Mary June Cox.
A private family service will be conducted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Cody’s Gift, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate and prevent substance use disorders as well as raise the awareness of mental health issues and coping skills.
