Obituary for Justin Owens
Mr. Justin Steve Owens, 44, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.
He was born on April 26, 1977 in Tuscumbia, Mo., the son of the late William Steve Owens and Carol Ann (Greer) Reynolds.
Justin was a graduate of Waynesville and North Dakota State High School. After graduation, Justin earned two associate’s degrees in General Studies and Small Engine Repair from Central Texas College.
Justin worked in trucking his whole life. He started his own business, Rocking and Rolling Trucking, where he worked as owner/operator for the past four years.
Justin was a member of AA and was very proud to be 11 years sober. He took every chance to better himself and those around him. Justin was a BBQ master and he always made sure to invite his family and friends to come out and enjoy his food. Justin enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing, kayaking, and playing soccer, but his favorite place was the ocean.
He was very adventurous and lived life to the fullest. Justin loved his motorcycle and going on rides with groups and appreciating the breath-taking views. He was talented at creating custom bikes and even won the “Best Custom Bike” in his first competition. Most of all, Justin loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his big personality, his even bigger heart and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Survivors include: siblings, Dreama Owens, Phillip “Jack” Reynolds (Jennifer); aunts and uncles, Roy Clevenger, Neil Greer, Carl Greer, and Sue Gamble; and nieces and nephews, Dreama Houston, Phillip Reynolds, Thomas Reynolds, Aleah Webb, and Averie Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Leanna Reynolds; grandmother, Georgia Sanders; uncle, Eugene “Gene” Greer; and nephew, Brennan Reynolds.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Holts Summit Civic Center, 282 S. Greenway Dr., Holts Summit, Mo., 65043.
