Obituary for Linda Faye Tucker

Linda F. Tucker, age 77 of Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born on August 5, 1942 in Atkins, Arkansas. She was married on June 6, 1980 in Clayton, Nm. to Eugene Howard Tucker who recently preceded her in death on March 14, 2020

Linda and Eugene relocated many times over there nearly 40 years of marriage but spent a majority of their time living in Oklahoma. Eugene was a business owner, working for and managing a paint contracting company for many years. In addition to helping her husband with their family business, Linda also worked to support her family. She was a jack of all trades but found her true calling when she began providing care as a home heath aid.

Eugene and Linda were both good with their hands. Linda was very crafty, and will be remembered for her incredible sewing abilities. She made clothing for her children, designed curtains, and hand-made many beautiful quilts over the years. Eugene had a passion for airplanes which began with flying but also flowed into building his own radio-controlled models. This hobby eventually morphed into a love for woodworking in which he built several furniture pieces, clocks, and will be remembered for the intricate work he was able to create.

In his spare time, you might find Eugene watching a western movie, or cheering on his favorite team; the Oklahoma Sooner’s. But together, Linda and Eugene loved entertaining friends at their home where they enjoyed many nights of playing cards and other games. Linda and Eugene loved each other very much, and as hard as it has been to loose them both so quickly, it was surely a comfort to them both to not have to be without one another for very long.

Survivors include: their children, Deon Tucker of Holts Summit, Mo., Matthew Hoeme of Columbia, Mo., Jason Hoeme and his wife Darla of Jefferson City, Mo., Gene Tucker of Sterling Co., Lonny Sivetts and his wife Gloria of Castle Rock, Co., Vicki Molz and her husband Dean of El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Delanna Gordon of El Dorado Springs, Mo.; and many other friends and family who will love them dearly.

They were both preceded in death by their parents.

Services for Eugene and Linda will take place privately for the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary.
