Obituary for Lynda Mueller

Lynda Louise Mueller, age 82 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at University Hospital.

She was born on September 3, 1939 in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Ralph Bowerman and Beulah “Boots” (Cottner) Bowerman Loucks. She married Richard Bollinger and her three daughters were born from this marriage. Lynda was later married in 1996 to Ralph Mueller in Jefferson City, Mo. who preceded her in death on September 26, 2017.

She was a graduate of Cape Central High School.

Caring for children was Lynda’s greatest joy. She diligently attended to her own family and worked at Little Learners Lodge for over 10 years tending to many infant age children.

She enjoyed being a member at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693 and was a member of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5.

Lynda had an energetic creative spirit and a giving heart. She was gifted in making crafts and was an excellent dancer. She loved Elvis and recently got to watch the Elvis play which she thoroughly enjoyed. When her children were young, they took many family trips to camping, boating, swimming and any other activity on the water. In most recent years, Lynda continued her love of dancing and added listening to karaoke to her list of loved activities. Most of all, Lynda loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be remembered for her colorful personality, infectious laugh, friendly demeanor and her authentic willingness to care for others.

Survivors include: three daughters, Robyn Carrender (Perry) of Henley, Mo., Michelle Barron (Russell) of Emmett, Idaho And Penny Thomas (Ed) of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother, Lindsay Bowerman; 11 grandchildren, Deidra Borgmeyer (Nick), Chance Carrender (Jasmine), Kyler Barron, Miranda Barron, Julia Barron, Landon Barron, Alora Gentges (Logan), Kyra Wiegers, Kolten Wiegers, Aurora Palmer and E.J. Thomas; three great-grandchildren; and her bonus grandchildren, Haley Murrill (Brett) and Brittany Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Mueller; and her granddaughter, Paige Carrender.

Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Joe LaPrise officiating. Graveside service and inurnment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
