Obituary for Mary Faerber
Mary Louise Faerber, 84, of Jefferson City, MO, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Oak Tree Villas.
She was born on May 15, 1938 in Jefferson City to Lawrence and Sophie (Cardwell) Phelps. She was married on June 11, 2005 in Holts Summit to James V. Faerber.
Mary was employed in food services with Jefferson City Public Schools until retirement.
Mary loved to go shopping, attend services at Concord Baptist Church, entertain family and friends and spoil her grandchildren. She loved animals and had a particular fondness for Huskies. She was a one of a kind classy lady who had style and grace, always receiving compliments on how fantastic she looked. Above all, Mary will be remembered for her devotion to family. Family and friends meant everything to her and she touched the lives of many.
Survivors include: her children, Lori Cayce (Wayne) of Holts Summit, Larry Massey (Debbie) of Holts Summit and Dede Rizor (Charlie) of Conway, MO; sister, Katie Findley (Kenny) of Holts Summit; brother-in-law, Sam Struempf of Jefferson City; seven grandchildren, Brandi McGeorge (Brian), Anthony Cayce (Angela), Larry Massey Jr. (Misty), Skyler Massy (Katelyn), Will Perryman (Mindy), Shawna Rizor and Jessica Rizor; five great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Linda Dickey.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; and sister, Marcia Struempf.
A celebration of life for family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Central Missouri Humane Society, 616 Big Bear Blvd. Columbia, MO 65202
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
