Michael Joseph “Mikey” Summers, age 34, of Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

He was born September 20, 1986 in Denver, Colorado, a son of John Bow and Catherine Fae Summers.

While living in Colorado, Mikey was employed as a Kitchen Manager at Red Robin for over ten years. After recently moving to Missouri, he worked as a security officer with Central Missouri Security and Extradition before taking a position with Dollar General Distribution Center as a Truck Loader.

Mikey had a heart of gold. He was caring, compassionate and giving. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He appreciated the outdoors and like to go shooting, fishing and most recently, hunting with family. He also loved animals of all kinds. Mikey cherished his family above all else, constantly talking about his siblings and children. He was a kind man, a good friend and a trusted confidant.

Survivors include: his four children, Riley, Skylar, Jackson Bear, and Shiloh; siblings, Christopher Moody, Sara Summers, Rhea Summers, and Elizabeth Summers; nieces and nephews, Autumn, Gabriel and Carson; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Summers; and brother, Thomas Marshall Bevington-Summers.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2020 at Cornerstone Baptist Church with the Reverend Brian Credille officiating. Everyone is welcome to attend his services while following social distancing guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Michael Summers Memorial Fund.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
