She was born on March 8, 1932 in Pocola, Okla., the daughter of Albert Bryan and Fronia Alice (Davis) Barnes. She was married on April 4, 1952, in Bentonville, Ar. to Wiley Winton Tracy who passed away on September 9, 2010.

After graduating from Pocola High School in 1949, Oma Lee went on to further her education and study Physical Education and Business with Poteau Jr. College in Poteau, Okla., Talequah University and later in life, earned her master’s degree from Lincoln University.

She then went on to work for the Missouri State Department of Education where she was the supervisor of Business Education. She worked for the state for 25 years prior to her retirement.

Oma Lee was very devoted to her faith. Oma Lee enjoyed knitting, gardening, collected an array of memorabilia, and exercised her creativity playing the piano and creating ceramic figurines. Oma Lee was the organizer of the family and enjoyed taking charge of family reunions and holidays. Being a school teacher, and active within her state division, she seldom had time for vacations, however later in life, she and her husband embarked on a trip to Alaska, and perhaps her most memorable trip, was a family cruise in Hawaii.

Above all, Oma Lee loved her family and was passionate about helping others when she was able. Even as she got older, she maintained her desire to lend a helping hand. Those who loved her will remember her feisty spirit and loving heart.
