Obituary for Patti L. Senecal

Mrs. Patricia Lee “Patti” Senecal, age 71, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born on April 20, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Senecal Jr., on August 1, 1981 in American Fork, Utah. They shared 37 years of marriage together before his passing on December 14, 2018. To this union three children were born.

Being married to a military man, Patti was able to see quite a bit of the United States as they moved around. One of her favorite places was St. George, Utah. After Robert moved into the Ivins VA home, she moved into an assisted living facility called “The Beehive.” She met wonderful friends and enjoyed her time there before moving back to mid-Missouri. Patti always wanted to visit Ireland, she loved the culture and would watch any movie that involved Ireland.

Some of Patti’s hobbies included playing Mahjong, shopping on Amazon, and watching Mama Mia movies. Speaking of shopping, she thoroughly enjoyed going to Bath and Body Works and spending a little bit of money and then would sneak in the bags and hide them so nobody knew how much she bought. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially sheet pan meals, lemon pepper chicken and her delicious shepherd’s pie.

She will be remembered for her love of animals. Patti was particularly obsessed with Yorkies. Her fun-loving personality and her zest for life will be carried on through her children, who will dearly miss her.

Survivors include her three children, Elizabeth “Liz” Casey (Brandon) of Jefferson City, Joseph “Joe” Senecal of Columbia, Kathleen “Katie” Kutch (Justin) of Puyallup, Washington; five grandchildren, Rasai River Nova Senecal, Aryahmoon Robin Senecal, Tristan Kutch, Ephraim Kutch and Aurora Kutch; and one brother, David Burgess (Cindy) of Wentzville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and loving mother, Edna.

Graveside services for Patricia will be held at a later date. She will be interred with her husband in the Springfield National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in Patti’s memory.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary, 915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
