Obituary for Phillip Moeller

Mr. Phillip Wayne Moeller, age 44, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital as a result of a brief illness.

Phil was born on April 19, 1978 in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Henry Joseph and Delores Jean (Bryan) Moeller. In 1997, Phil met the love of his life, Michelle Renee Albert, who he married on November 27, 2004

A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Phil was a graduate of Jefferson City High School.

Phil worked for Federal Recycling as a pallet builder and made many relationships. During his working career, he also worked for Unilever, Scholastic, and dedicated 9 years to Reed Elsevier in Linn MO.

A man of faith, Phil was a true believer in God. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and a former member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church near Freedom, Mo.

Anyone who knew Phil loved him. He was helpful, had a great sense of humor, and had a positive outlook on everything. He found the good in helping people and often helped his family and friends with yard work and always found a way to “pay it forward”. Phil was family oriented and cherished all of the time spent and memories that he made with his family. Rather it was playing cards or watching movies, he made sure to make his children feel special, and supported them in every way through life, and work. He was truly the most dedicated, amazing father.

Phil found peace in the outdoors and could often be found fishing, building things, such as model trains and cars, and making wood burning frames and crosses. He was a hard worker and was respected in every position he held. Phil will be remembered for his kind heart, giving nature, and always bringing laughter into the lives of those around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Michelle; three children, Heather Moeller, William Moeller, and Haley Moeller; one brother, Eric Moeller; one sister, Kim Sachs (husband, Dennis); nephew, Shawn Sachs; Emily Moeller Jacob, and Josh Moeller. And one grandchild.

Phillip was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents; infant daughter, Kaley Moeller; brother, Kevin Moeller; Cousin, Jordan (BO) Giesing; and many aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be conducted at binder lake park. A ceremony/pot luck dinner at the deck pavilion will be held from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. on May 28, 2022. All are welcome. Meat will be provided so bring a dish and join us in honoring Phil.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Phillip Moeller Memorial Fund.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
