Obituary for Richard W. Klosterman

Richard Wayne Klosterman, age 55, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 in St. Louis, Mo., from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born on September 3, 1967 in Fulton, Mo., to Faye Lorraine (Perry) and Lloyd Albert Klosterman. United in marriage to Rachelle “Shelly” Lynn Robinett on September 25, 1993 in Jefferson City, Mo., it came as a surprise to family and friends when they found out they eloped on July 2, 1993 in Eureka Springs, Ar. They proudly celebrate both dates.

Richard was a lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Mo. and was a 1985 graduate of Jefferson City High School.

He was a jack of all trades with an impeccable work ethic. Richard is well known in this area as the owner of Central Missouri Construction, LLC., where he built homes. His name would also be recognizable with Central Missouri Plumbing, Klosterman Development Company, LLC., and most recently Castleparke Residential Care Facility.

Richard was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693 since 1991 and the Elks Lodge #513.

Richard lived life to the fullest, often taking it in like drinking from a fire hydrant. His hobbies included: hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He cherished his family vacations to Florida and Colorado making lasting memories. Riding their motorcycle was a favorite pastime, he and Rachelle would mark off every state that they travelled to on their Harley making it to 16 states plus Canada.

Having four daughters, Richard was a girl dad through and through, always there protecting his daughters and Rachelle fiercely. To the girls, he was very sentimental and a big teddy bear. He had this passion of always helping others and going out of his way to do good. His sarcastic and witty sense of humor will be greatly missed. Lovingly called “PaPa” or “HaHa” by the grandchildren, his memory will live on through his family that loved him.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 29 years, Rachelle Klosterman; four daughters, Jennifer Klosterman of Centralia, Shelby Mueller and husband Brandon of O’Fallon, Chelsey Klosterman of Columbia and Kaylee Klosterman and fiancé Austin Turnbough of Wentzville; six grandchildren, Deanna Klosterman, Hudson Mueller, Brooks Boyce, Bessie Klosterman, Braxton Turnbough and Baby Mueller (due in December); mother-in-law, Carolyn Cardwell; and four siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and fathers-in-law, Clifford Cardwell and Ronald Robinett.
