Obituary for Rose M. Linnenbrink

Mrs. Rosella Mae Linnenbrink, age 92, of Holts Summit, Mo., passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was born on March 30, 1928 in Bonnots Mill, Mo., the daughter of Joel Isaiah and Mae Belle (Sieg) Mantle. She was married on May 2, 1946 in Bonnots Mill, Mo. to Arthur Frank Linnenbrink, who preceded her death on January 29, 1989.

A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, she grew up in Bonnots Mill and attended school near that area. Rose had very fond memories growing up with her siblings and loved being able to reminisce on those times. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling the backroads of her childhood with family and she was always willing to go on a road trip.

Rose worked as a cook at Helias Catholic High School for several years and Dix Road Cleaners until she retired to care for her husband.

Her life revolved around caring for her family and the unconditional love she showed each of them. She lived for family gatherings and no one wanted to miss out on her fried chicken. She cherished being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and thought they could do no wrong. Rose will be remembered for her servant heart and the patience to be the matriarch of her large family.

Survivors include: eight children, John Linnenbrink of Jefferson City, Mo., Marcie Robinson of Holts Summit, Mo., Sandy Nibbelink of Holts Summit, Mo., Sherry Baughn of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Richard Linnenbrink (Donna) of Taos, Mo., Anita Hotsenpiller (Steve) of Holts Summit, Mo, Art Linnenbrink (Barb) of Taos, Mo., and David Linnenbrink (Jackie) of Holts Summit, Mo; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as Rosie to all her family and will forever be missed.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 42 years, Art; one son, Arthur F. Linnenbrink; four brothers, Edward Mantle, Leonard Mantle (Evy), Joe Mantle (Dorothy), and James Mantle (Elizabeth); three sisters, Anna Bonnot (Theodore), Evelean Redman (Perry), and Clara Diedel (Ben); one daughter-in-law, Vicki Linnenbrink; two sons-in-law, Jack Robinson and Riley Baughn; two grandsons, Edward D. Linnenbrink and Matthew D. Baughn; and one great-grandson, Marcus Hale.

A private funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in the Freeman Chapel with Chaplain Bart Larson officiating. A webcast of her service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday for friends to view by going to her memorial page on Freeman Mortuary’s website.

Graveside services and interment will be held at the St. Louis Cemetery in Bonnots Mill, Mo.
