Obituary for Susan M. Frkovic
Susan Marie Frkovic, age 64, of Jefferson City, Mo., a former resident of St. Peters, Mo. passed away peacefully Saturday, October 22, 2022 at her home.
Susan was born on March 5, 1958 in St. Louis, Mo. a daughter of Clarence and Marilyn (Beckmann) Wagner.
She grew up in St. Louis and graduated from St. Sabina Catholic High School in Florissant, Mo. She later received her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Finance.
Susan began her professional career in the finance department with Newco Company in St. Charles for many years. When Harrah’s Casino opened in Maryland Heights, Susan began working as a dealer helping with many of the card games. She enjoyed the people she met through her time at Harrah’s and worked until ill health forced her to slow down. In 2012, she moved to Jefferson City to be closer to her brother and began working at Scholastics.
Susan enjoyed playing softball and volleyball when she was younger. She always looked forward to quality time with her grandchildren and spoiling them in any way.
Survivors include: three children, Sara Dorn (husband Rick) of Moscow Mills, Mo., Tom John “T.J.” Frkovic, Jr. of St. Peters, Mo. and Shannon Marie Frkovic of Winfield, Mo.; four siblings, Mike Wagner (wife Ann Marie) of Florida, Sandy Callahan of O’Fallon, Mo., Jim Wagner (wife Tammy) of St. Charles, Mo. and Kevin Wagner (wife Mel) of O’Fallon, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Mike Schaefer, Travis Frkovic-Avenevoli, Jon Schaefer, Chase Frkovic-Watson, Corbin Frkovic, Maelynn Frkovic-Lime and Edward Dorn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held at Quail Ridge Park in Wentzille, Mo. and will be announced at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Freedom 13 to help veterans.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary.
