Obituary for Wade Jerome Keller

Wade Jerome Keller, age 53, of Jefferson City, Mo. and formerly of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2022 at his home.

He was born on November 16, 1968 in New Orleans, La., the son of Robert LeRoy and Carol (Arnold) Keller. He was married on April 2, 2008 in Denham Springs, La. to Tiffany Bell Duncan, who survives.

Wade graduated High School then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy for 24 years. He was trained in both surface and aviation warfare, shipboard aircraft handling and rescue, and as a firefighting and salvage specialist. Later in his career, he was an instructor for fellow Naval officers and a recruiter of new service men and women. After traveling the world, Wade retired from the Navy in 2015 as an Aviation Boatswains Mate Chief Petty Officer.

In addition to travelling and seeing many new places through his career, Wade enjoyed golfing and gambling. He participated in many Military sponsored games of softball, as a coach and as a pitcher. Wade was always very detail oriented and meticulous; and was known as a “man with a plan.” He was a friend to many and will be remembered for his giving and selfless spirit.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Tiffany Keller; his parents, Robert and Carol Keller of Shreveport, La.; his brothers, Jimmy Keller of Baton Rouge, La., Michael Keller of Denham Springs, La., and Brian Keller of Shreveport, La.; and his nieces and nephews, Branden Keller, Nicholas Keller, Lundyn Keller and Brianna Kidwell.

Private services will be held for his family at a later date.
