Mrs. Margaret Ann Vieth, age 73 years, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her home, surrounded by family.

Margaret was born on December 30, 1946 in Jefferson City, daughter of Clemens Frederick and Margaret Dergil (Zimmerman) Bemboom. She was married on February 4, 1966 in Jefferson City to David Lee Vieth.

Margaret lived in Jefferson City, Mo. all her life. She attended St. Peter’s Interparish School before moving on to the Jefferson City Public School system. She graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1964. She began her career as a teller for Exchange National Bank in Jefferson City before starting a career with the Missouri Department of Revenue in 1967. Margaret was a computer programming supervisor. She retired from the Missouri Department of Revenue in 2002 after over 35 years of service to the State of Missouri.

Margaret was a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Jefferson City.

She was the biggest fan of both of her daughters during their formative years. Whether it was room mom for a school party, a Girl Scout leader, “mom’s taxi” for running them to and from extra-curricular activities, or serving as Vice-President of the Jay Band Boosters, chaperoning competition trips and sewing color guard flags. Margaret cherished time with her family and would do anything for her beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 54 years, David; two daughters, Lisa Ann Vieth and her husband Leonard Davis, Jefferson City, Lora Ann Moore and her husband Scott, Holts Summit; three grandchildren, Kendal Ann Moore, Kenzie Ann Moore and Kentyn Michael Moore, all of Holts Summit.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother, James Frederick Bemboom.

Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 in the Freeman Chapel with Reverend Mark Landis officiating. Graveside services will follow at Riverview Cemetery with Deacon Ray Purvis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to her grandchildren’s educational fund.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Dear Family, I am so saddened to hear of Margaret’s passing. She was a such a sweet lady. We had so much fun when we got together as teens. I can hear her laughter and picture her in her parent’s kitchen making pizza. God Bless you all.
