Mrs. Nancy Ann Massie, age 72 years, of Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 at her home.

She was born on January 13, 1947 in Columbia, Mo. the daughter of Perry Jennings and Norma Lavern (Hartley) Hudspeth. She was married on February 17, 1982 in Belleville, Ill. to Maurice Don Massie who survives in the home.

A dedicated homemaker, Nancy loved caring for her family. Nothing brought her more joy than the company of her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, when they were around, Nancy was sure to be wearing a smile. Nancy had a great appreciation for nature, she enjoyed gardening, watching the birds and other wildlife near her home, and taking motorcycle rides to soak in the scenery. She was even known to bring back a cool rock as a souvenir from most of her trips. I met the Hudspeth family when my mother and I moved in with my grandparents after a car accident. We moved next door to Grandma which was a block from Nancy and her family. We played ball. hide and seek kick the can and rode bicycles, shot marbles and walked to and from school together. It wasn't an upscale neighborhood but I can't imagine any children had more fun than we did. I have tried to post a picture I took of Nancy in 1960 behind their house but I don't know if it worked.
